In CaixaBankNow, open your account transactions, pick the period and download them as Excel; then upload the file to Aurio from Accounts. Aurio skips the title rows, finds the table and reads the date, description and signed amount. You review the transactions before they are saved.
How to download your CaixaBank statement
- Log in to CaixaBankNow, on the web or in the app, and go to Accounts.
- Select the account and open its transaction list. If you need more history, widen the date range.
- Choose to download the transactions as Excel (CaixaBank also offers PDF).
- In Aurio, go to Accounts → Import, choose the destination account and upload the file as it is.

Which format to choose for Aurio
Recommended format: Excel (XLS). Formats CaixaBank offers: Excel (XLS), PDF.
The CaixaBank Excel file starts with a couple of title rows before the table (Fecha, Fecha valor, Movimiento, Más datos, Importe, Saldo). Aurio skips them, uses the Movimiento column as the description, the signed Importe, and does not import Saldo, which is a running balance.
We tested this format with a synthetic sample file (no real data) that mirrors the columns of the CaixaBank statement. If CaixaBank changes its file layout and something looks off, the review will show you before anything is saved.
What Aurio does when you import
- Before anything is saved you get a review of every transaction: date, amount and description, so you can fix whatever needs fixing.
- If you upload a period you already imported, repeated transactions are flagged as duplicates in the review.
- Each transaction is categorised automatically: first with your rules and Aurio's, then, if needed, with AI on tokenised data, never with your name or IBAN.
- If the file does not say which amounts are spending and which are income, Aurio warns you instead of silently guessing.
- You do not need to connect your bank or give us your credentials: you download the file and decide what to upload.

Frequently asked questions
The CaixaBank description is short. Is that normal?
Yes. The CaixaBank Excel file puts a short description in the Movimiento column and the details in Más datos. Aurio uses Movimiento as the description; automatic categorisation works just the same.
Can I use the CaixaBank Norma 43 file?
CaixaBank offers Norma 43 through its file service for businesses. Aurio also reads Norma 43, but for a personal account the CaixaBankNow Excel file is the direct route.
Do I need to connect my CaixaBank account to Aurio?
No. You download the Excel file from CaixaBankNow and upload it: no bank connection and no credentials needed.
