How to download your ING transactions and import them into Aurio

Updated 24 September 2026

Log in to the ING Área Clientes from a computer, open the account and click the export icon above the transactions: an Excel file downloads that you can upload to Aurio from Accounts. ING exports at most 250 transactions at a time, so for long periods download in several chunks.

How to download your ING statement

  1. Log in to the ING Área Clientes from a computer: ING’s help describes exporting from a PC.
  2. Open the account and use the calendar to pick the dates of the transactions you want.
  3. Click the export icon just above the transaction list: an Excel file downloads.
  4. If the download fails, shorten the date range: ING exports at most 250 transactions at a time.
  5. In Aurio, go to Accounts → Import, choose the destination account and upload the file (or files) as they are.

Online banking menus change from time to time. If you cannot find an option, check the official ING help.

Which format to choose for Aurio

Recommended format: Excel (XLS). Formats ING offers: Excel (XLS), PDF.

The ING Excel file has a few rows with account details followed by the table: F. VALOR, CATEGORÍA, SUBCATEGORÍA, DESCRIPCIÓN, COMENTARIO, IMPORTE (€) and SALDO (€). Aurio skips the account details, reads the dates even when they are Excel date cells, and uses the description and signed amount.

We tested this format with a synthetic sample file (no real data) that mirrors the columns of the ING statement. If ING changes its file layout and something looks off, the review will show you before anything is saved.

What Aurio does when you import

  • Before anything is saved you get a review of every transaction: date, amount and description, so you can fix whatever needs fixing.
  • If you upload a period you already imported, repeated transactions are flagged as duplicates in the review.
  • Each transaction is categorised automatically: first with your rules and Aurio's, then, if needed, with AI on tokenised data, never with your name or IBAN.
  • If the file does not say which amounts are spending and which are income, Aurio warns you instead of silently guessing.
  • You do not need to connect your bank or give us your credentials: you download the file and decide what to upload.

Frequently asked questions

How much history can I export from ING?

According to ING’s help, the last three years of transactions are available from the calendar. For earlier periods, ING points to Documentación → Extractos, where you request statements and certificates.

Does Aurio use ING’s categories?

No. Aurio ignores the CATEGORÍA and SUBCATEGORÍA columns and categorises with your rules and its own, like with any other bank.

What if I have more than 250 transactions?

Split the period into shorter chunks and upload one Excel file per chunk. If two chunks overlap, repeated transactions are flagged as duplicates in the review.
